Fresh wave of target killing claims 3 lives in Karachi
KARACHI: A fresh wave of targeted killings in the metropolis claimed three lives on Wednesday.

According details, a legal aid worker of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and lawyer of a Sindh High Court, Husnain Shah Bukhari advocate was gunned down by unknown assailants in Korangi area. The armed attackers came on a motor bike and showered bullets on the car of the Husnain Shah Bukhari, who was off to work from home, killing him on the spot.

The deceased was appointed by the MQM to follow through the petitions filed by it over the alleged disappearance of its workers.

According to doctors, Advocate Bukhari received bullets of 9mm bore pistol.

Later in the day, in a similar incident, assailants riding a motor cycle opened fire on a car, injuring two persons near Paracha Chowk in Shersha area. They were being rushed to a hospital but they succumbed to their wounds on the way.

One deceased was identified as Dr. Muhammad Fayaz while the other as Arif Ubaid.

Spokesman of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) later said that Dr. Muhammad Fayaz the organization’s General Secretary for Karachi Division and also the Convener for Sindh. He said the other dead was also a worker of the ASWJ.

On contacting SSP West Azfar Mahesar, the Geo News was informed that both the incidents were a result of targeted attack.
