Kharotabad report findings be implemented: Raisani
QUETTA: The Balochistan government has decided to implement recommendations made in the report of the Khartoabad tribunal, Geo News reported.

According to the spokesperson for the Balochistan government, the Chief Minister received the report on Wednesday which included recommendations by the tribunal probing the Kharotabad incident. Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani said that the findings of the report should be made public through the media.

On May 17, 2011 five people including three women were killed as a result of firing by FC and police officials in Kharotabad. The Balochistan government had ordered the formation of a tribunal to probe the killings. The tribunal headed by Balochistan High Court Judge Hashim Khan Kakar was formed on May 20, 2011.

The tribunal started its investigations on May 31 and recorded statements from numerous eyewitnesses, FC and police officials, the police surgeon who conducted the post mortem and the cameraman who made the footage of the incident. On Tuesday the report was handed over to the provincial home department and was presented before the Chief Minister on Wednesday.
