Clerks association ends protest after successful talks in Lahore
LAHORE: The All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) early on Friday ended their 16-hour-long protest sit-in outside the CM House after successful conclusion of negotiations with Punjab government.

Speaking on the occasion, former law minister in Punjab Rana Sanaullah said that some of the legitimate demands of the APCA have been approved. A committee has been formed to review the remaining demands, he added.

The PML-N leader said that representatives of the APCA would also be made part of the committee.

The protesting clerks had gathered outside the CM House earlier on Thursday, chanting slogans against the provincial government. They were demanding regularisation of contract employees and wages increments.

Lahore’s busy Mall Road was blocked for traffic because of the sit-in.
