PIA flight's landing in Djibouti to coincide with arrival of Chinese vessel: FO
ISLAMABAD: A special PIA plane will fly to Djibouti tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon to airlift about 200 Pakistanis stranded in the Yemeni city Aden, the Pakistan Foreign Office said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to the FO, the PIA flight's landing in Djibouti will coincide with the arrival of the Chinese vessel there.

A Chinese vessel reached Aden this morning to carry the Pakistanis to Djibouti for their onward journey to Pakistan. The Pakistani nationals have completed the immigration process.

The Yemeni authorities have allotted a time slot for embarkation to the Chinese ship only for tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said the Pakistani delegation held positive talks with Saudi Defence Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and other senior officials on the situation in Yemen.

In a twitter message after completing the two-day visit to Saudi Arabia, he said the visit helped the delegation to have better understanding of the conflict in Yemen and the concerns of the Saudi brethren.

The Minister said the report about the visit is being submitted to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif soon.
