Nine suspects arrested in police operation near Karachi’s Tariq Road

KARACHI: At least nine suspected criminals were arrested in a high-scale search operation launched by police here on Shahrae Quaideen near Tariq Road in the early hours of Thursday.

Police sources said that entry and exit points of Shahrae Quaideen and Tariq Road were blocked during the search operation.

Over 100 policemen took part in the massive crack down on criminal elements.

Meanwhile, two suspected target killers were killed in a police encounter in the city’s Manghopir area.

In separate raids, 15 suspects including four target killers were also arrested by the police. Police claimed to have recovered LMG, SMG, 9 MM, 30 bore pistols and hand grenades from their possession.

Police and Rangers have intensified their ongoing operation against criminals and terrorists in the metropolis.
