LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to send fast bowler Umar Gul to Dhaka to replace injured paceman Ehsan Adil in the ODI series against Bangladesh, sources in the board told Geo News on Saturday.

PCB sources said that Umar Gul is expected to fly to Bangladesh today.

Adil was ruled out of the remaining matches of the ODI series when he suffered a hamstring injury today – the fourth such injury setback for the Pakistan team in recent weeks.

Earlier, left-arm spinner Zulfiqar Babar replaced leg-spinner Yasir Shah who suffered a thumb injury.

Two other World Cup squad members, Sohaib Maqsood and Sohail Khan, were earlier also ruled out of the tour with injuries.

Pakistan play three one-day internationals, a solitary Twenty20 game and two Tests on the month-long tour of Bangladesh.

The Tigers beat Pakistan by by 79 runs in first ODI – their second win over their rivals in 48 games across all three formats.

The second and third one-day matches will also be held at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium on April 19 and 22.
