Saudi military announces end to Yemen offensive

RIYADH: The Saudi military spokesperson announced late on Tuesday, an end to the bombing campaign against rebels in Yemen.

The spokesperson said that the campaign has achieved its military goals.

A new operation focusing on a political solution in Yemen and on security and counter-terrorism at home will be initiated.

The coalition had carried out almost a month of air strikes to try to halt the advance of Houthi rebels.
