RAWALPINDI: The judicial remand of supermodel Ayyan Ali in the money laundering case has been extended till April 27.

The model was presented in court on Friday in the court of District and Sessions Judge Bahadur Ali due to the transfer of Customs Court Judge Chaudhry Mumtaz.

Customs officials presented an interim charge sheet in which Ayyan was named as the main accused. Interestingly, the charge sheet did not name any political or business personality.

Ayyan complains of allergies

During proceedings Ayyan complained that she was suffering from allergies due to a lack of cleanliness and health facilities at the prison. The model also stated that she was not being given any medicine.

The court directed jail officials to provide Ayaan with medicine and extended her judicial remand.

Ayyan Ali was arrested from the Islamabad Airport on March 14 by customs officials accused of attempting to smuggle $500,000 to Dubai.
