Case lodged against Mirza, 20 aides
BADIN: A case has been registered against former Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza and his 20 supporters in Model Town Police station on the complaint of a local business.

Provisions of vandalism and attempt to murder have been included in the case.

Police, after the registration of case, are conducting raids for the arrest of Mirza and his supporters.

The former Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader, accompanied by his gunmen, forced shopkeepers to shut down their businesses in Badin city after situation turned tense on Sunday as police reportedly tried to arrest a supporter of former Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza.

According to our correspondent in Badin, police tried to arrest Nadeem Mughal, a supporter of Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, but his colleagues helped him escape.
