PTI worker's killing: ANP leader Mian Iftikhar released from prison
NOWSHERA: Awami National Party (ANP) leader Mian Iftikhar Hussain was released from the sub-jail here on Tuesday.

Earlier today, a district and sessions court accepted the bail application filed by Mian Iftikhar Hussain, who was arrested after a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker was shot dead outside his office in Nowshera.

On Sunday, PTI activist Habibullah died of gunshot wounds when PTI workers and activists were celebrating the victory of their candidate in Nowshera district. The incident took place near the ANP general secretary's office, and he was arrested by police on charges of murder and attempted murder.

But a day later, the victim's father, Sher Alam, admitted in court that Mian Iftikhar did not have any link to the killing and that he had not filed any complaint against him.

Appearing in court again today, Alam submitted a letter of consent after which the court granted bail to Mian Iftikhar on submission of Rs0.2 million worth of bail bonds.
