Sirajul Haq blames MQM, PPP for ‘worse’ state of Sindh
LAHORE: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Sirajul Haq on Monday reiterated that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) are responsible for what he described as ‘worse’ state of Sindh province.

“But, in spite of this, we don’t want the Sindh government’s end; we are only interested in seeing reforms in its governance,” Sirajul Haq said while addressing a press conference here.

He claimed that today all the provincial institutions of Sindh stand crippled.

He regretted that people are dying but there is no respite in sight. “But JI, in spite of all this, wants to see reforms and not the end of the incumbent Sindh government,” he added.

Sirajul Haq said the resolution of the problems being faced by the province lies with the people.

He said the results of the ongoing targeted crackdown on criminal elements in Karachi are not satisfactory.

The JI chief said the state institutions were in the know all along of Indian funds being channeled to MQM, but chose to stay silent due to some expediencies.

He demanded legal action being initiated against MQM in case charges being faced by it are proven correct.

Sirajul Haq appealed to the Prime Minister to fly to Karachi along with its Cabinet and throw out those who were inducted in government offices on political basis.
