Imran’s tiger hopeful PTI will pay 80 million dues
LAHORE: Even with Rs. 80 million owed to him by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), DJ Butt, the man without whom Imran Khan’s 126-day sit-in would have had no wind in its sails, says his heat still beats for the party that avoided him until TV channels picked up his story.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Asif Nazar Butt (aka DJ Butt) said he secured the PTI contract because his was the lowest bidder. The man who Imran Khan labeled a ‘hero’ at the sit-in says party officials stopped answering his calls.

With Rs 80 million outstanding and payments due to other vendors, Butt emailed Imran Khan and was assured that the matter would be resolved and a three member committee was formed which included Aleem Khan, Shoaib Siddiqui and Yaqoob Izhar.

Butt told journalists that members of the committee were unjust towards him, passing him around like a football from one person to the next. Until a local TV channel picked up his story, he was running from pillar to post trying to get the PTI to pay his dues.

DJ Butt added, that he worked for PTI more loyally than may supporters and kept working even when there was tear-gas shelling.

While Butt has his grievances with other officials in the PTI, he still has his faith in Imran Khan and hopes he will get his money.
