Altaf Hussain calls for an end to Rangers deployment
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movment chief Altaf Hussain on Tuesday announced that his party would stage a sit-in outside the Chief Minister House against what he said extra judicial killings and arrest of MQM workers.

He also called on Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and members of Sindh Assembly to pass a law that the Rangers were no longer required.

“If Chief minister and lawmakers consider Sindh as their mother, they must pass law that Rangers were no longer needed,” Altaf Hussain said.

“Neither CM nor judiciary took notice when sector and unit in-charges of MQM were arrested,” he said.

He said the powers Nawaz Sharif was giving to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will ultimately be used against himself.

Altaf Hussain said international organizations should raise voice against cruelties meted out to Sindhis, Muhajirs, Baloch, and Pakhtoons.

He also asked MQM leaders to write letters to international organizations to inform them about the aggression.
