Pakistan, Afghanistan forces agree to shun border skirmishes
PESHAWAR: The armed forces of Pakistan and Afghanistan Wednesday held delegation-level talks to discuss bilateral issues including improving the border coordination mechanism and vowed to shun sub-tactical level skirmishes at the border.

The two sides agreed to improve bilateral coordination to avoid incidents like a July 1 border clash in Angoor Ada over controversial construction of a gate at the crossing point by the Pakistani side.

The Afghan delegation was led by Brigadier General Rahim Abdul Qadir while the Pakistani side was headed by Brigadier Amir Ahsan.
