Indian envoy directed to meet stranded woman in Pakistan
NEW DEHLI: India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has directed the country’s High Commissioner in Pakistan Dr TCA Raghavan to travel to Karachi and meet Geeta an Indian woman who has been stranded in Pakistan for 15 years.

In response to a tweet by human rights activist Ansar Burney regarding searching for the family of the missing Indian girl, Swaraj said: “I have asked Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Dr TCA Raghavan to go to Karachi with Mrs Raghavan and meet this girl.”

Geo News was instrumental in bringing the story of Geeta who is hearing and speech impaired to the limelight on July 25 during the Ramazan transmission of Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain.

Geeta currently lives with Bilqees Edhi the wife of Abdul Sattar Edhi.
