Brahumdagh Bugti willing to give up ‘free Balochistan’ demand
LONDON: Brahumdagh Bugti, self exiled grandson of former chief minister and governor of Balochistan, Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, on Wednesday linked his readiness to withdraw his demand for an ‘independent Balochistan’ with the wishes of the people of the province.

In an interview with BBC Urdu, Bugti, who has been adamant on waging an insurgency for separation of Balochistan, said he is willing to come to the table if “our friends, comrades, political allies, and majority of people wish to stay within Pakistan.”

Though he didn’t confirm any contact with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, who is presently on a visit to UK, Bugti said he wanted to resolve all the issues politically and peacefully.

“Our doors are open for him if he wants to meet, as we are politicians and always ready to see political solutions to issues,” he said.
