Boat capsizes in Kirthar canal, three children, woman missing

SUKKUR: At least eight children and two women drowned after their boat capsized in Kirthar canal of Sukkur barrage.

Local divers rescued a woman and five children and shifted them to nearby hospital, while search for missing woman and three children was underway.

The local divers were facing troubles in search due to high flow of water in the canal.

According to locals, the boat was carrying students and teachers to school, located on the other bank of the canal.
