MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jehangir Tareen on Tuesday said people have decided to stamp ‘cricket bat’ in the by-election for NA-122.
Talking to media persons here following the Rasm-e-Qul of Syed Asad Murtaza Gilani, the PTI leader claimed that the entire leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is in panic following PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s visit to Lahore.
In connection with upcoming by elections in NA-122, Tareen accused the PML-N of using government machinery.
“Police and LDA officials were trying their best to help the N-league candidate win. But, all their nefarious designs will fall flat in the face of a sea of PTI supporters,” he added.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was running the entire poll campaign for NA-122 from Raiwind.
Tareen demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take action against the violators of its code of conduct.
