Imran Khan spoke like a defeated man today, says Rashid
LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Reacting to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s fiery speech at Okara rally, Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said on Wednesday the former’s face and tenor were reflective of an imminent defeat in upcoming by-polls.

Speaking to Geo News, Rashid said Imran Khan was a compulsive liar, who he claimed cannot get rid of his habit of lying.

“Imran Khan will make it to the victory stand if he partakes in an international competition of lying,” he said.

Ruling out any chance of PTI’s victory in upcoming by-elections in Punjab, the PML-N leader said PPP’s turncoats and PML-Q’s deserters were the candidates of Khan’s party.

Meanwhile speaking at an election rally in Lahore’s Mughalpura area, PML-N’s candidate for NA-122 by-poll Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said the country’s circumstances changed but Imran Khan’s were exactly the same.

“Imran Khan wants to become prime minister at any cost,” he said, adding that he had diverted the ‘tsunami’ in the past and vowed to do so in the future also.

Speaking on the occasion, PML-N stalwart Khawaja Saad Rafique said there was a contest between ‘votes and (currency) notes’ in the NA-122 constituency.

The railways minister vowed to turn Pakistan Railways and the country into a paradise. He said Lahoriites cast votes to his party for turning it into an international city by launching Metro Bus service and constructing roads and bridges.

“Envy us all u want as we’ll also launch Orange Train service in the city,” he remarked.

Rafique also took jibes at Imran Khan for paying inadequate tax for living in a ‘palace’ in Islamabad.
