CTD arrests two accused involved in Rashid Godil attack
KARACHI: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Sindh Police on Monday claimed to have arrested two accused for their alleged involvement in an armed attack on Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) legislator, Rashid Godil.

According to sources, the CTD carried out raids in several areas of Karachi and Hyderabad, arresting two suspects, who were allegedly involved in shooting on Rashid Godil.

Police said the alleged criminals belong to 'a political party'.

The MQM leader Rashid Godil had come under an armed attack and sustained serious injuries when unidentified assailants opened indiscriminate fire on his car in Bahadurabad area of Karachi on September 22.

Rashid Godil’s driver had lost his life in the attack while it took the MQM leader several weeks to recover from the wounds.
