Pakistan gives US proof of India meddling in Karachi, Fata, Balochistan

Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry, while briefing the media here, said the dossiers were presented to the US administration by Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Wednesday.
Chaudhry said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Kerry during their meeting on Wednesday discussed a host of issues with a particular focus on Pak-US relations, concerns regarding India and Afghan reconciliation process.
To a question he said, the reason for sharing dossiers with the US was to inform the international community about Pakistan's stance.
To another question, he said the dossiers will also be presented to India when an official interaction takes place between the two countries. Since no Pak-India meeting held during UN General Assembly meeting, the dossiers could not be presented, he added.
He said, in PM Nawaz Sharif’s meeting with US President Barrack Obama today, the former will share with the latter that Pakistan wants relations with the US that are not limited to security cooperation.
He said Pakistan is committed to its resolve to root out the menace of terrorism from its soil. He said Pakistan has so far spent 1.9 billion dollars on operation Zarb-e-Azb.
He said the purpose of the current visit of the PM is to promote and further strengthen ties with the US.
To a query about Pakistan’s maintenance of nuclear capability, Aizaz Chaudhry said nuclear weapons are meant to serve as deterrence in the face of any threat that may arise from India.
Commenting on Afghanistan he said: “Pakistan wants Afghanistan’s situation to improve. We want to see peace in Afghanistan. And we will play our role to facilitate the Afghan peace process.”
He said Pakistan will continue its cooperation with Afghanistan.
Earlier, talking to Geo News, he said the issue of Kashmir also came under discussion during the meeting with the US Secretary of State.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif also spoke to Geo News and said Pakistan stands firm on its stance over its nuclear capability, which, he added is a matter of Pakistan’s national security.
He said Pakistan’s stance in connection with nuclear weapons is absolutely justifiable in the backdrop of India’s designs and hoped that the US will understand this too.
