EXCLUSIVE: Video of Shaheen Air emergency landing shot by passenger

LAHORE: Geo News on Tuesday evening obtained a video shot by a passenger onboard the Shaheen Air flight in which passengers escaped a serious disaster when the airplanes landing gear malfunctioned, breaking off on the tarmac sending the plane sliding off the runway.


All 112 passengers on board the Shaheen Airlines flight NL-142 from Karachi to Lahore escaped serious injuries and were safely evacuated via the emergency escape chutes.

Airport sources said the plane's landing gear malfunctioned and its tire burst as it touched ground.

The runway was temporarily closed for flights following the landing.

An initial report by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said the aircraft's landing gear, windows and right wing were damaged in the landing. The CAA added that it had initiated its investigation into the incident.
