Section 144 extended for 90 days in Karachi

KARACHI: Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been extended for further 90 days in the city, banning all gatherings of four or more people for rallies and protests.

According to a notification issued by the Sindh Home Department on Tuesday, carrying weapons will be prohibited and private security guards without uniforms will not be able to carry arms.

Using dark tinted glasses in vehicles is also barred under the section 144.
