Pakistan to summon Bangladesh HC to present response
ISLAMABAD: Expressing serious concern over increasing number of hangings of opposition leaders in Bangladesh, Pakistan on Thursday said it would lodge its protest over the human rights violation.

Briefing the media here on Thursday, Foreign Office (FO) spokesman Khalilullah Qazi said Pakistan has taken a note of Bangladesh’s protest communiqué handed over to Pakistan High Commissioner and a press release issued by Dhaka.

He said there are a number of points on which Pakistan will present its response by summoning the Bangladeshi ambassador.

Khalilullah said Pakistan was closely monitoring the situation in the aftermath of Russian warplane’s downing by Turkey. He stressed on a negotiated resolution of the conflict between the two countries.

Commenting on reports of death of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander Khan Said Sajna in a drone strike in Afghanistan, the spokesman denied having any knowledge of his killing.
