NADRA contradicts news item regarding flawed voters' list
ISLAMABAD: Deputy Chairman National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Tariq Malik on Saturday termed a news item published in a section of the press regarding flawed voters list as "baseless".

Tariq Malik while explaining said that Prime Minister's vote is registered in Multan, Punjab and in electoral block number 213010301 where his name is placed on serial number 325 on Multan's voter list, said a statement issued here.

While CM Sindh's vote is registered in Khairpur, Sindh in electoral block number 33040403 where his name shows on serial number 1 on Khairpur's voters list.

Syed Ghous Ali Shah, Ex-CM Sindh's vote is also registered in Khairpur Sindh in electoral block number 33302401 where his name is listed on the serial number 426.

The statement further said that, "A similar kind of false news item appeared few days back regarding President's vote. When checked, his vote was found to have been registered at the correct place."

He urged the media to refrain from creating generalization based on false reports.

"Its basic motivation is to launch disinformation campaign", said a press release received here. (APP)
