Five shot dead in Karachi firing

KARACHI: At least five more people including two political activists were killed and eight others received injuries as the bloodletting continues in the city, Geo News reported.

According to police, two Sunni Tehrik activists Yahya and Rashid were shot dead by unknown men in Lines Area.

In another incident, armed men attacked youth playing cricket in a park in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block-18, killing Arsalan and injuring three others.

An unidentified man was shot dead in Urdu Bazar.

In another incident, bullet wound victim succumbed to injuries at a local hospital. The deceased was shot in Clifton area.

CID investigation officer received bullet injuries near Shaheen complex at I.I Chundrigar Road. Firing incidents also took place in North Karachi, Teen Hatti leaving several hurt.
