Huge cache of ammunition missing from Sindh police depot
LARKANA: As many as 163000 bullets of Kalashnikov and 18000 rounds of G3 assault rifle have been reported missing from the arms depot in Police Line of Qambar Shahdadkot, Geo News reported on Wednesday.

According to our correspondent Sabir Shah, SSP Farrukh Lanjar said several mortar shells were also missing from the depot.

He said that the disappearance of the ammunation came to his knowledge after a visit to the depot.

The SSP said that two policemen Hidayatullah Mastoi and Ali Raza were arrested in connection with the missing ammunition.

He told that a case had been registered against the two policemen. The officer said that the policemen had been selling the rounds and mortar shells.

Taking notice of the Geo News report, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah sought a report from the Inspector General Sindh police.
