Seminary administrator gunned down in Karachi
KARACHI: Unknown gunmen on Monday morning killed a seminary administrator, Molana Mohammad Ismail at Abul Hassan Isfahani Road, Geo News reported.

According to the sources, the attackers sprayed bullets on the car of Molana Mohammad Ismail at Abul Hassan Isfahani Road and killed him on the spot. He was the administrator of Madarasa Ahsan-Ul-Uloom.

After the incident, angry protesters set many vehicles including an ambulance on fire at Gulshan Chowrangi and pelted stones that disrupted the traffic on the adjoining roads.

Due to the tense situation in the area, shops and businesses were closed after which security forces arrived in the area to control the situation. Police resorted to shelling to disperse the crowd and arrested several persons from the scene.

Rescue sources told that one man was injured due to protesters’ firing. Rashid Minhas Road and the adjoining roads of Gushan-e-Iqbal and Nipa bridge are completely shut for traffic.
