Three provinces are opposed to KBD: Ayaz Soomro

KARACHI: Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro Tuesday said that the ‘big brother’ must keep in mind that three provinces are opposed to the construction of Kalabagh Dam (KBD), Geo news reported.

In a meeting with the newly elected office bearers of Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) here, Sindh law minister handed over a cheque of Rs10,00,000 to the Bar president Mustafa Lakhani. Chatting with the lawyers Ayaz Soomro said that it was a pleasure to meet the new liberal team of the SHCBA office bearers.

Later talking to the media, Ayaz Soomro said that KBD was a conspiracy to render Sindh barren and it could only be built on the bodies of the Sindhis. He further said that we could go to the Council of Common Interests (CCI) on KBD issue.

Replying to a question, Ayaz Soomro said that holding by-polls on the six vacant seats of Sindh assembly was the prerogative of the Election Commission.
