Militants used full backup in Peshawar attack: Naveed Qamar

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Naveed Qamar has said that the terrorists used full backup in the attack on Peshawar Airbase, however, army and air force personnel thwarted this organized assault, Geo News reported.

Talking to ‘Geo News’ by telephone, Naveed Qamar said the militants attacked with full planning, adding several suicide bombers were among the attackers.

The defence minister said neither Peshawar airport nor airbase of PAF was damaged in the attack.

It is impossible to tell the correct number of militants at this time, he said.
