Terrorism is a national issue: Punjab Governor

PESHAWAR: Governor Punjab Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood said on Saturday that terrorism is not an issue of any province but it is a national issue and all stakeholders have to work closely against it, Geo News reported.

Talking to media men after offering condolences to Bilour family in Peshawar, Ahmed Mehmood said Bashir Ahmed Bilour was a brave and a man full of honor who sacrificed his life for the sake of country and its nation.

The governor said good governance could pave way to counter terrorism to some extent. Roots of terrorism are not just present in Punjab but in whole country, he added.

Responding to a question, Governor Punjab said Bahawalpur province is a demand of people which would soon be fulfilled.
