HOUSTON: Special Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister on Sports, Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah breathed his last during treatment at a hospital here on Monday, Geo News reported quoting Dr. Kashif Ansari.

Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah, 67, was undergoing a process of chemotherapy at a hospital in Houston when he suffered a heart attack and left this world for good.

According to Dr. Kashif Ansari, Dr. Shah was suffering from cancer and admitted to a hospital in Houston.

According to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader, Babar Ghauri, the deceased will be laid to rest in Karachi.

Born in Bareli, India and a recipient of President's Pride of Performance, Dr Shah had been elected member of Sindh Assembly from PS-103 in the general elections of 2008 from an MQM ticket.

Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah's reputation was not only limited to the world of sports but he was also known as country's one of the best orthopedic surgeons.

Relatives, friends and others have started gathering at the Karachi residence of Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah.
