Security beefed up during anti-polio drive in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: Security has been beefed up for the vaccinators and other relevant staff deployed to administer polio vaccines to under five children in provincial capital.

According to police official, 20 to 25 polio teams are working in the jurisdiction of each police station. SPs and SHOs are supervising the security of the teams.

He said that three police personnel are performing their duties with each polio team while more contingent of police have been deployed in outskirts and sensitive areas of Peshawar.

The drive would continue till March 6, the police official added.
