Maulana Abdul Wasay notified as opposition leader in Balochistan Assembly

QUETTA: The Speaker Balochistan Assembly Sunday night notified Senior Provincial Minister Maulana Abdul Wasay as leader of the Opposition in the provincial house, Geo News reported.

The speaker of the house, Syed Matiullah Agha undersigned the notification issued in this regard.

According to sources, Wasay enjoys a support of at least 22 members of the provincial assembly (MPAs). On the other hand Nawab Aslam Raisani has lost the support of around 42 MPAs.

Sources also informed Geo News the Governor Balochistan, Zulfiqar Magsi, has accepted 22 resignations, whereas another 22 were yet to be approved, however benches have been allotted the opposition.
