Transparent elections top priority: caretaker PM
ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (retd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso has said that holding fair and transparent elections was his top priority, Geo News reported.

Talking to Geo News after his appointment as caretaker premier here Sunday, Khoso said Insha Allah (God willing) polls would be held on time. He said caretaker cabinet would consist of 10-12 members only.

Khoso further said only elections were the solution of all the issues, adding he would hold meetings with all the political leaders soon.

Commenting on law and order situation, the premier said it is the responsibility of the provinces to maintain it. Provinces would be consulted on this issue, he added.

Meanwhile, speaking to media, Hazar Khan said he would quit if he failed to hold elections on time. Politicians could also be included in the caretaker cabinet, he said.

It is pertinent to note here that the oath taking ceremony of caretaker prime minister would be held on Monday at 1:00PM in Awan-e-Sadr. President Asif Ali Zardari will administer oath to Hazar Khan Khoso.
