Voter seeks Shahbaz Sharif disqualification
LAHORE: A voter has objected to the nomination paper of former Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif and filed an application with the returning officer, seeking to disqualify the ex CM from contesting election.

According to a Geo news report, Syed Iqtedar, a voter in the Punjab Assembly constituency 159 held that Mr Shahbaz was not qualified for contesting election as he didn’t fulfill criteria.

He claimed that the former chief minister didn’t follow Sunnah and teachings of Islam. The applicant said Mr Shahbaz didn’t grew a beard as per Sunnah so his nomination papers be rejected and be disqualified from contesting election.

After an initial hearing, the RO issued notice to the former chief minister for April 5.
