122 children die in 137 days in Thar

THARPARKAR: The death of yet another infant at the Civil Hospital in Mithi has taken the infanticide rate in Tharparkar to over 122 in the last 37 years.
The latest victim was a one year old girl who passed away due to malnutrition on Saturday. Meanwhile 44 children, also suffering from malnutrition, are being treated at the hospital.
Parents of the children said that the hospital was not giving proper treatment nor was it providing free medicines.
