Quetta Exlposion: Forty injured, FC personnel, civilans among martyrs

QUETTA: A loud explosion shook the provincial capital on Saturday when - according to initial investigations - a suicide bomber blew his explosives as a truck carrying FC personnel was passing by on Jinnah road. 

According to sources, 9 people embraced martyrdom in this attack including two FC personnel and six civilians including a young girl while 40 others were injured including 12 FC personnel who are being treated at the Civil Hospital in Quetta. 

Geo News reported that 5 out of the injured are said to be in critical condition. 

Anwarul Haq Kakar the provincial government's spokesman told Geo News that the attack is likely in retaliation to the proactive crackdown the government has been conducting against the terrorists. Refusing to share details of the security plan, Kakar added that the crackdown will continue the good news will be shared as it comes.
