Justin Trudeau’s appointed Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan Wendy Gilmore has some nice insight on her first visit to Karachi.

When asked Justin Trudeau is famous in Pakistan because of his charisma and how do Canadians perceive him, she responded: “We don’t choose our leaders because of their looks. Leaders should connect with people through good governance and democracy. And I believe PTI government under Imran khan as Prime Minister is also connecting with people,” said Wendy Gilmore.

When asked about relaxation in visa policies by Canada she said, “We are a nation of immigrants and refugees. Canada needs skilled workers in different sectors. Pakistan is the sixth largest country, to send immigrants to Canada.” Canadian High Commissioner urged applicants to file their visa applications own their own and visit state website for any information.

Wendy Gilmore also spoke about her love with Pakistani food as she revealed her favourite Pakistani dish — Palak Paneer.
