A soap that has all the elements of a good Pakistani melodrama. The story revolves around Mehru, a young girl from a simple rural area who dreams of studying in the city and progressing in life rather then just being married off to someone chosen by her parents.  

As the city lights beckon her, Mehru finds an ally in her aunt who promises to take her to the city and help her continue her studies. However, as Mehru later realizes, life isn’t all dazzling amongst the bright lights. Mehru’s life in the city is full of a host of dramatic twists and turns. 

Whether it’s befriending a famous politician’s daughter only to become entangled in a web of politics, marrying a rich businessman only to regret it later, turning down the one true love of her life, or being punished for a crime she didn’t commit, for Mehru life is far from easy.
