“The continued offensive by militants in the Districts of Swat and Malakand has forced hundreds of thousands of civilians to evacuate their homes, and these innocent, helpless and anxious citizens are deserving of our undivided and immediate attention.

 
 
The unfortunate victims of the ongoing operation in the swat valley are the innocent civilians who have evacuated their homes in fear for their lives. Most of them are being currently housed in various temporary relief camps across the region. These men, women and children at these camps are in dire need of the following:

Cover:
Tents and/or prefabricated shelters

Linens:
Temporary/camp beds, sheets, pillows, towels, baby cots

Water storage:
Urns, plastic barrels, and any other containers for storing potable water

Washing equipment:
Buckets, mugs, jugs and other containers that can be used for washing

Food:
Most urgently Flour/Ata, rice, pulses and any other dry goods, tea, powdered milk, packaged milk, baby formula and bottles

Filter plant:
There is a dire need for clean, potable water and any filtration devices for this are urgently required

Healthcare: Volunteer doctors and nurses, Mobile dispensary, Basic health units that include medication and first aid materials

Make-shift schools:
Volunteer teachers, paper, pencils and pens, books, white board and markers, and any other items that would aid students and teachers
