Army aviation’s training jet crashes in Gujranwala; two pilots martyred

RAWALPINDI: A training jet of Pakistan Army Aviation has crashed here leaving both the instructor and the trainee pilot martyred, military officials said on Tuesday.

A statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that Instructor Pilot Major Azhar and his trainee Captain Ahmed were martyred in the crash.

“Army aviation training aircraft mushaq crashed near Gujranwala while on routine training flight. Maj Azhar instructor Pilot and capt ahmed trainee pilot embraced shahadat,” said the statement.
