2,000kg meat of 'dead animals' seized from Islamabad slaughterhouse

ISLAMABAD: Authorities raided a slaughterhouse located near the Motorway Toll Plaza on Thursday and seized over 2,000 kilograms of what they described as unhygienic meat of 'dead animals'.
The local administration on a tip-off carried out the raid on the slaughterhouse near the Motorway and also arrested 10 suspects.
According to the local administration team, led by Assistant Commissioner Dr Waqar Hassan, the suspects were involved in transporting the unwholesome meat of dead animals from Jhang and supplying it to shops and unsuspecting customers in the twin cities.
