Mercury soars to 36 in Karachi

KARACHI: Temperature in the southern metropolis on clocked in at 36 degrees Celsius with the high expected to be 37 degrees, according to the Meteorological Department.

The Met department adds, warm winds from the plains have entered the city which are expected to remain till the 2nd of March.

Speaking to Geo News, DG Meteorological Department, Ghullam Rasool allayed concerns stating that temperatures in Karachi have historically touched 28 degrees Celsius as well and present temperatures are not cause for concern.
