Over 100,000 people in Pakistan are infected with the deadly AIDS virus.

AIDS is spread through blood transfusion, using infected syringes or equipment, and sexual contact.

There is no cure for the disease, so the only solution is taking precaution.

In Balochistan there are 700 registered patients who have contracted the virus, according to a study.

Patients who contract the virus often suffer ostracism from the society.

World’s Aids Day is observed every year on December 1, to increase awareness about the disease.
