Thirty-three suspects, including three Afghan nationals, were arrested during joint operations on Tuesday as part of the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.

The operations were conducted by Punjab Rangers, police and intelligence agencies, according to ISPR. Weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the suspects.

The operations were held in DG Khan, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Narowal, Shakargarh and Rajan Pur.

In another operation on Tuesday, more than 100 suspects were taken into custody by the law enforcement personnel in a crackdown across Punjab.

At least 75 suspects were detained in raids conducted in Vehari while 46 suspected people were held by police and other law enforcement personnel in Bhakkar.

Pakistan had launched a nationwide military operation, codenamed Radd-ul-Fasaad, earlier this year, to counter terrorism in Punjab and continue ongoing operations across the country.

The move came after deadly bombings across the country all through February, which claimed hundreds of lives.
