Anti-encroachment drive: Four KDA officials injured after being attacked

KARACHI: Four members of the Karachi Development Authority were injured on Tuesday after they came under attack during anti-encroachment operation in Korangi.

According to KDA officials, the locals resorted to violence during the anti-encroachment operation in Mehran Town of Korangi.

The wounded officials have been shifted to a hospital, where they are being given medical attention.

Police has taken several people into custody after dispersing the enraged protesters with aerial firing.

KDA officials said that unknown people fired shots on the team and then fled from the site.

SSP Korangi said that in the protests, KDA officer and a worker was injured. He said that when police officials reached the site of incident they took into custody three people.
