SAHIWAL: A four-year-old girl who went missing a day prior and was thought to have been kidnapped was found dead in nearby fields here in the city's Chak 90/9-L on Thursday, police confirmed.
According to Sahiwal police, the four-year-old's body was recovered from the fields and sent for post-mortem. An investigation into the matter has been initiated, they added.
A first information report (FIR) of the minor's kidnapping had been registered against unidentified individuals in the Ghalla Mandi police station on Wednesday. After the case was filed, a search was commenced for the little girl and her body was found earlier today.
