CHITRAL: Residents of Rumboor (Kalash valley) are celebrating their newly constructed Charso (Dancing-cum-worship place) at Rumbor valley.
Charso was completed with the financial support of Chitral Integrated Area Development Program (CIADP) in collaboration with Ayun and Valley Development program (AVDP). The new Charso was completed with a cost of Rs3.30million in supervision of AVDP.
District Coordination Officer Chitral Rahmatullah Wazir was chief guest on the occasion of inauguration ceremony of new dancing place (Charso) of Kalash community, here Saturday.
Addressing the ceremony, Asfandiar Khan program coordinator said that CIADP was keen in development of rural areas like Kalash valley.
Focal person of district government Ziaur Rehman Executive Magistrate, Chairman AVDP Muhkamuddin, Program Manager Wazir Zada Kalash, Saifullah Kalash, Barzangi Kalash, Luk Rahmat Kalash and other spoke.
Later, Kalash women presented traditional dance. A large number of people from both Muslim and Kalash communities participated in the ceremony. (PPI)
