Geo/Jang should get justice: Altaf

LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has once again demanded to end ban on Geo transmission and said that Geo and Jang should get justice.

Talking to journalists, following meeting with Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar at London Secretariat here, Altaf Hussain said if Geo and Jang had committed mistake then they had also tendered apology. He said Geo transmission should be unblocked.

It is the right of everyone to get justice, Altaf added.

MQM chief said formation of new administrative units is the need of the hour, adding that it is the job of all the political parties to resolve issues.

He said the issue of sit-ins in Islamabad should be resolved on give and take basis through dialogues and as per the law, adding that the government and protesting parties have spent more than a billion rupees on it.

Altaf said: “In my opinion Governor Sarwar is an appropriate personality for mediation.”

A group of honest military men could end status quo in the country, he said and added that change in Turkey, US and Cuba was brought by military.

Altaf Hussain also stressed on the assistance of IDPs of North Waziristan and flood-hit masses.

On the occasion, Chaudhry Sarwar urged all the political parties to come forward for the assistance of IDPs and flood affectees. He said Pak forces were fighting war against terror.
